The Practice was established on this site in February 2000.

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Training Practice

With the introduction of our new salaried GP, Dr Aggarwal we are looking to take advantage of her qualification in being a GP Trainer.  This means that in the coming months we will be looking to take qualified doctors who have chosen to become a GP to help them pass this training by getting valuable experience in seeing patients.  The Trainee GP will be fully supported by our team and we see them as a welcome addition in improving the services we offer.  If you have any questions please contact the surgery.

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

Care Navigation

Why does the receptionist need to ask what's wrong with me?

Our reception staff are important members of the practice team and it has been agreed they should ask patients 'why the need to be seen'.

* the most appropriate medical care

* from the most appropriate health professional

* at the most appropriate time

Reception staff, like all members of our team, are bound by patient confidentiality.

Please help us to help you get access to the right professional at the right time.  We have spent time training our excellent reception team to ensure they get you to see the most appropriate person for the care you need.  Therefore under our guidance the team will ask you a number of questions in regards to your problem and then give you the most appropriate advice.  We hope that as this service is expanded upon patients will see a huge benefit is accessing care at the right time.

Access

We are a one storey, purpose built Practice with full wheelchair accessibility and toilet facilities in the waiting area.

Data Sharing

As you may have heard in recent press releases about the sharing of your records and having to opt out prior to the 23rd June.  The form you need can be downloaded here with further information below:  Opt out form

Forms can also be collected at reception

Patient data from GP medical records is used every day to improve health, care and services through planning and research, helping to find better treatments and improve patient care. The NHS is introducing the GPDPR data collection to support this which will start from 1 July 2021.

NHS Digital will collect, analyse, publish and share patient data to improve health and care services for everyone.

The data collection will provide a comprehensive and frequent (daily) extract of patient level and linkable data from the GP system suppliers. All identifiable data items will be pseudonymised by the GP system suppliers and flow to the NHS Digital’s Data Processing Services (DPS).  Once the pseudonymised data lands in DPS it is stored securely. The data is able to be linked to other data collections, subject to approval from IGARD / DARS, and/or made available for approved uses both internally to NHS Digital and externally to customers. All data is transmitted and stored in encrypted form.

This will not impact on Type 1 Opt Outs or the National Data Opt Out. If a patient sets a Type 1 Opt Out (which prevents sharing of data outside the GP practice for anything other than individual care) this prevents GPDPR data collection.

If a patient sets a National Data Opt Out (which prevents confidential patient information being shared by NHS Digital with other organisations for purposes except individual care) this does not apply to the GPDPR collection.

The NHS Digital Privacy Notice on the GPDPR is available here https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/data-collections-and-data-sets/data-collections/general-practice-data-for-planning-and-research/gp-privacy-notice
